We are all running businesses that needs to reach customers on different devices - phones, computers, etc. Traditionally, you’d need separate teams building apps for each platform. What Orca is trying to do is a universal app that works everywhere. You build your app once, and it runs on Windows, Mac, and potentially more in the future. What this could unlock is faster development, lower costs, and easier maintenance.
The other big benefit is data protection. Orca’s approach is like giving each app its own secure vault to operate in. This could be useful for businesses dealing with sensitive customer data or operating in regulated industries.
This is very interesting. Only language at present is C, but hopefully that list grows soon. I’ve got a very good use-case for this; the sandboxing part is of particular interest.
